Rain Shaman rain shaman
24" X 36"

Referred to also as the "rain god", this is a classic example of an anthropomorph, a human-like figure representing a shaman or supernatural being. The symbol above his head has been interpreted as a lightning bolt, perhaps to evoke the power of the gods of rain. Inspired by a Barrier Canyon style pictograph, or rock art painting, on Head of Sinbad cliff in the San Rafael Swell in Utah's  Canyonlands National Park.
