Petroglyph oil painting - Anasazi Maze Anasazi Maze
 24" x 24"

The Hopi people may be the modern descendents of the enigmatic Anasazi, which in the Navajo language means “ancient stranger” or “enemy”. And strangers they remain,  as much of what is known about them is limited to the rock art they carved and painted throughout the Four Corners region. To many Native American peoples, the maze, this one found in Northern Arizona, represents our experiences and the choices we make on our journey through life. If we choose well, we will find our way to the center, the place of the Creator, and be reborn.
